The Patient Involvement Programme is about involving the patients and their relatives in order to make a safer environment for care. The programme is run in collaboration between The Danish Society for Patient Safety and TrygFonden to the end of 2013.

The goal is to create a safer healthcare system in Denmark by developing and share knowledge and communication tools, which are designed to make it easier for healthcare professionals and patients to cooperate.

Tools

All tools are developed to support a secure collaboration between patients, relatives and healthcare professionals, and to be recognized by all parts. The tool has to be easy to use and provide immediate sense to the user. A tool must always be designed to serve both targetgroups - patients/relatives and healthcare professionels.
